OK, where do I start? I’ve been the “fearless leader” for campaigns and entire teams, driving the creative ideas, planning budgets and setting up orgs and processes. I’ve been the guy pulling all-nighters on the deck to win the pitch. I’ve been the tireless designer knocking out a batch of premium creatives to meet the deadline. And that was just last month! That’s the fun thing about Agency Life™ right?

But really, by my (admittedly ballpark) count, I’ve overseen nearly 1,000 TV, Theatrical and Entertainment Brand social media campaigns: starting by designing social creatives on Tumblr and Facebook for studio tentpole campaigns like The Hunger Games 10+ years ago, to brand accounts like Nike, Peacock, NBC and FOX, to video game releases like Mortal Kombat 11 and Back 4 Blood, all the way to leading the team who just launched Netflix’s WWE social channels last month. The landscape, the budgets, and obviously the social platforms have changed immensely over that time, but the goal of capturing and captivating audiences in the vast sea of social content and “stopping the scroll” remains unchanged.

Now, dedicated to being a positive leader, motivating influence and genuine problem-solver, I’ve turned a department of 1 into an award-winning team of nearly 50 full-time, highly-talented motion designers, static designers, illustrators and editors — all experts in creating content to excite and entertain audiences and bring a second life to the shows, brands and movies they enjoy.

So much of that business I’ve worked on over the years has been pitched with full creatives and a creative north star in mind, and to that end, I’ve led nearly as many pitches as campaigns I’ve worked on in my decade or so in the social media agency world, to a roughly 80% success rate. I then build and set up those teams to tackle these newly-won campaigns, and have a dedication and passion on the operational side: building successful creative departments with respect, collaborative leadership, and a truly creative culture.

I’m never afraid to get my hands dirty and do everything from designing and setting the look and feel on creatives, to putting together decks and pitching our creative vision directly to the clients and executives — even if I’m then overseeing the team, creating the brief, setting budgets, and allocating resources on the other side of that same campaign. It’s that continued spirit of collaboration and follow-through that I’ve found has delivered the best results, and one that I always bring with me, wherever I go.
